Me and Movies

Pin It When I was a kid, I didn't have a VCR. I remember going to the store with my dad and renting one, once. It came in a locked plastic briefcase. We rented Baby and Predator. I watched them twice, each. Over the years, we accumulated videos that my Dad found at flea markets and swap meets. These were movies that few people had ever heard of. I watched them all. My freshman year of college, I got a job at Blockbuster Video where I received 5 free movie rentals a week. I watched everything. I even went to a second-run $1 theater at least three times a week. After graduating with both an English and Cinema degree, I became the Store Manager at the Blockbuster Video store for seven years. During that time, I would print out a list of the 150 top grossing movies and watched them all. I love movies. A feature that my son has acquired as well. I hope that this site creates an open forum for all things movies. From My Take on the AFI Top 100 Movies to Movies You May Have Missed. I am always looking for advice, suggestions and comments.
